This VIP Experience allows between 1-4 people to plunge into the tropical waters of our Ocean display and submerge yourself in our snorkel cage! Prepare to meet over one thousand creatures and take the opportunity to meet the king of the waves – Ernie, our green sea turtle. The cost of the experience also includes entry into the main aquarium.
What will I do?
The SEA LIFE Manchester Snorkel with Sharks Experience includes priority access into the centre on the date of your booking - please arrive 15-30 minutes before your booked time*
- 60-minute Snorkel adventure
- Full briefing from our team before taking the plunge
- Explore from the Snorkel cage for up to 20 minutes (dependent on group size)
*Please ensure you arrive at the attraction 15 minutes before the activity time stated on the ticket. Late arrivals will need to be rescheduled for another date. (If your session is at 10am, please arrive at 10am and not 15 minutes early - all other slots need to arrive 15 minutes before their session start time.)
You will also be able to explore all the other amazing creatures we care for in the centre before and after your experience.
Important information:
- You must be 10 years or older for this experience.
- Participants aged 10-16 years must have adult supervision 18+ taking part in the experience
- There is a maximum of 4 people at any one time.
- All participants are required to sign an activity waiver ahead of the experience, which is available to print from the website.
- Participants with a history of high blood pressure must have a doctors fitness note before taking part, failure to provide so will result in their exclusion from the experience.
- You are required to bring your own swimwear and a towel.
- Private changing facilities and lockers are provided.
- All dive and safety equipment is provided, including up to XXL wetsuits, or you may bring your own wetsuit.
- If your visibility is impaired without glasses, please bring your own prescription goggles.
- For your safety, no jewellery, mobile phones or loose items can be worn during activities however, they can be stored away in our onsite free lockers.

- Due to the location of the snorkelling experience, you must be able to walk upstairs, there is no lift access to the top of our ocean tank.
- Due to space restrictions at the top of our ocean tank, there are no additional spectator slots in the experience area
- Participants should NOT drink excessive fluids before a dive.
